This recipe also has the right amounts of protein (tuna, dairy), vegetables (onion, peas, garlic) and carbohydrates (pasta) balances out well into deliciousness.

Easy ‘Pea’sy Tuna Mac & Cheese Recipe
Ingredients - Serves 5 Adults
1 x 425g can & 1 x 185g of Canned tuna, drained
1 tbsp Olive oil
1 medium Brown onion, peeled and diced
375g Frozen peas
2 TBSP Plain flour
2 cups Reduced fat milk
200g Light tasty cheese, grated
150g Pasta, dry
3g Minced Garlic
Method
Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil.
Add pasta and boil until cooked (following packet directions for recommended cooking time), adding peas for the last 2 minutes of cooking.
Drain pasta and peas and return drained ingredients to the pot.
Add the onion to a saucepan with olive oil and garlic. Cook, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes or until softened.
Add flour to the saucepan. Cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes until all the onion is coated in flour.
Gradually stir in milk and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring for approximately 3 minutes or until mixture thickens.
Add tuna and cheese to the pan, stirring for approximately 2 minutes until heated through.
Add tuna mixture to pasta mixture, season with salt and pepper and stir until well combined. Garnish and serve immediately.
