NDIS Support Made Simple

NDIS stands for National Disability Insurance Scheme and was implemented in Australia to allow people with a disability to gain greater independence and quality of life through enabling access to support to help Participants reach their goals.

If you believe you are eligible for the NDIS, you can apply via the government website www.ndis.gov.au and visit the “Am I Eligible” page for the criteria. Once you have established if you are eligible, reach out to your local NDIS partner and ask them to support you to apply. This can be found on the www.ndis.gov.au website.

The NDIA stands for National Disability Insurance Agency. The NDIA is responsible for determining who is eligible for the NDIS.

OSCAR Care Group is a registered NDIS provider who supports NDIS participants who are self-managed, plan managed, and NDIA managed to access supports. OSCAR Care Group provides access to Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Speech Pathology, Gardening and Minor Home Maintenance to allow Participants to reach their goals as outlined in their NDIS plans.

These services are provided for Participants across Victoria in the clinic in Mount Waverley 3149, through Home Visit appointments and Telehealth options.

NDIS funding is based on what is “reasonable and necessary” to achieve goals as outlined by participants in their NDIS plan. There are three types of budgets that can be allocated in a NDIS plan. These include Core Support Budget, Capacity building budget and Capital support budget.

For Speech, Dietetics and Physiotherapy NDIS Appointments, we charge $193.99 (60 minutes). Appointments can be held with our Clinic (Mulgrave), Home visits or Telehealth. Home Visits will incur a travel cost if further than 15 minutes from our location. Travel fees are only charged one way, with a maximum of 1 hour from our Clinic.

For Home maintenance and Gardening NDIS appointments, we charge from $50 an hour, travel fees may apply depending on location. For a quote, please email ndis@oscarcaregroup.com.au with the location and description of home maintenance and Gardening required.

The OSCAR Care Group Clinic is located at Suite 1B, 88 Ricketts Road, Mount Waverley VIC 3149. NDIS Appointment can be held within our clinic , or we can come to you.

Within each Participant’s Service Agreement, they are provided with steps to provide feedback or make a complaint. The Participant can reach out to Talia – NDIS Coordinator on 0488 901 005 or by emailing ndis@oscarcaregroup.com.au, and she will be in contact with further steps to document the feedback/complaint and escalate if necessary. If the participant wishes to escalate this complaint/feedback, they will be provided with details for Managing Director – Nicole Buettel. If the participant is not satisfied with the handling of the complaint or does not want to talk to our complaints manager regarding their feedback or complaint, they can contact the National Disability Insurance Scheme at any time throughout the process by calling 1800 035 544, visiting one of their offices in person, or visiting ndis.gov.au for further information.

If the Participant wishes to stop receiving supports with OSCAR Care Group, as per their service agreement, they are required to provide a month’s written notice to the provider.

This can be discussed during an appointment with a clinician or by calling our NDIS Coordinator on 0488 901 005 or (03) 9560 1844, select option 1.

*If either party seriously breaches their Service Agreement, the requirement of notice will be waived.

OSCAR Care Group clinicians take regular appointment clinical notes each time they have an appointment with a Participant. These notes can be accessed by support coordinators and guardians if they have the authority to access as per the Participant’s Service Agreement. Yearly NDIS reports are completed for Participants upon request and are charged as per the regular hourly rate of $193.99. A standard report usually takes two hours to complete.
