About the event
OSCAR Care Group is bringing you a delightful webinar all about sugar and young children. Perfect for childcare educators, early learning cooks and families, this session explores the big question many adults ask: how much sugar is too much for young children?
Our Dietitian will walk through where sugar shows up in everyday foods, including the difference between natural sugars (like those found in fruit) and added sugars. We’ll help ease common worries around sugar intake, unpack myths about sugar and children’s behaviour, and explain how sugar affects children’s health short term and as they grow.
Learn practical ideas for food swaps in childcare and at home, plus reassurance that occasional treats are absolutely okay (such as their Birthday Cake).
This 20-minute webinar is 100% evidence-based and judgement-free. If you work in childcare or care for young children, we’d love you to join us.
In this webinar, you’ll learn:
How much sugar young children actually need
Natural sugars vs added sugars
The truth about sugar and children’s behaviour
Simple, realistic food swaps for everyday life
Why balance — not perfection — matters
